
PROGRAMS
Level 1 - Basic 1
This course is part one of a two-part course for adult English language learners with little or no prior exposure to English. Students are introduced to the English alphabet, numbers, subject pronouns, possessives, high frequency words. They are also encouraged to talk about their abilities and likes and dislikes. They are also introduced how to complete an identification card, write a greeting card, and a short text message.
Level 2 - Basic 2
This course is part two of a two-part course for adult English language learners with little or no prior exposure to English. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to talk about their daily routines as well as past and current events. They are also introduced how to write short social profiles and short informal emails.
Level 3 - Basic 3
This is part one of a two-part course for high beginner adult English language learners. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to talk about themselves in detail, order food at a restaurant, talk about their interests, give advice, and talk about the past. They are also introduced how to write personal descriptions, informal emails, and other short descriptive texts.
Level 4 - Basic 4
This is part two of a two-part course for high beginner adult English language learners. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to make requests, make future plans and arrangements with others, make suggestions, and talk about their past experiences. They are also introduced how to write a paragraph about their own town, short messages, a short description of a place, and an announcement.
Level 5 - Independent 1
This is part one of a two-part course for low intermediate adult English language learners. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to talk about rules, opinions, make comparisons, tell a story, and make future plans. They are also introduced how to fill in a form, write a note, a short story, and descriptive texts.
Level 6 - Independent 2
This is part two of a two-part course for low intermediate adult English language learners. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to participate in a job interview, give extra information about people or things, talk about their past vacations, report what others are saying, discuss opinions vs facts, give presentations, and discuss hypothetical situations in the present time. They are also introduced to how to write a resume and a formal email to request information.
Level 7 - Independent 3
This is part one of a two-part course for high intermediate adult English language learners. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to open and close conversations, describing and reviewing experiences and events, make predictions about the future, and react to surprising news. They are also introduced to how to create a blog post and write a cover letter.
Level 8 - Independent 4
This is part two of a two-part course for high intermediate adult English language learners. Students are introduced to the target language necessary to state their preferences and give reasons, deal with problems, describe injuries, talk about improbable situations in the present or the future, leave-take-and pass phone messages, and make and accept apologies. They are also introduced to how to write a detailed description of a place, a text message using abbreviations, customer reviews, long personal emails, an opinion essay, and a website article.
